Ease of care
One of the easier to care for Tortoises as long as the correct set up and care is maintained.
Housing
Vivarium:
Inside: The vivarium should be a tortoise table whilst the totoise is inside. The enclosed unit with sliding glass (commonly known as a vivarium) is not suitable for tortoises. The tortoise table should be a minimum 4ft x 4ft although larger is always better.
Outside: An outside enclosure is preferred and also benificial during the summer months. Care should be taken to prepare a proper enclosure though so the tortoise can be kept safe from pets, be kept from escaping and prevent your tortoise from eating anything that may be harmfull. You must also ensure that proper housing is supplied to escape from the sun if hot, and rain and bad weather when necessary.
